After many tense and stressful weeks of juggling a baby, school, work-overload, sleep deprivation and a sweet-but-needy puppy-dog, Keith and I came to the reluctant conclusion that we simply could not keep Pepper. Sniff sniff. So, through various and sundry means, Pepper landed a great job as the cheerful pet of a couple who owns a farm out on the Palouse. She gets to run and wrestle with another dog and get really muddy and even still moonlight as a lap-dog, we are told. This is good news for everyone! And the best part? You know how sometimes parents have to get rid of their pets, and they tell their children "Oh yeah, we sent Fido to live on a big farm, where he'll have lots of room to run and play and wonderful new owners who love him" but what they really mean, of course, is that Fido is sleeping with the fishes? Well, when Charlie gets older, we'll tell him the same thing but it will be truth! :-)
